Duckweed
Research: PRISM conducted an intensive research
on duckweed culture both in sweet water and
wastewater on three locally available species,
its nutrient contents, and suitability as fish
feed and livestock feed and wastewater treatment
with duckweed both at laboratory and field level. |

Duckweed Fed Aquaculture
(Pisciculture): PRISM conducted an intensive
research on duckweed fed mix carp culture and
catfish (Magoor, Shing and Pangus fishes) in
different methods i.e. feed using different
mix proportions (duckweed and other local available
fish feed) and different types of carps (local
and Chinese species) with different mix proportions,
tilapia culture (both mono and mix culture with
the carp species). |

Duckweed based wastewater
treatment: PRISM conducted an intensive research
on wastewater treatment using duckweed as well
as nutrient recovery harvesting duckweed as
a high protein biomass and directly used as
fish feed in mix carps culture. |
